Team Dr Jonathan Stott

Jonathan is a doctor in his second year of training as a Child Psychiatrist. He was formerly a Science Secondary School teacher, having gained a BSc Biology at the University of York. He was motivated to retrain having worked with students struggling with mental health difficulties in the school environment.

As a junior doctor he worked with the Child Oriented Mental Health Intervention Centre team, helping to deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions to children with phobias as part of the Alleviating Specific Phobias Experienced by Children trial (ASPECT).

He currently holds an Academic Clinical Fellowship post and is developing a school-based taste exposure intervention, aiming to test its effectiveness in the treatment of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.​
